Long has it been since the exiled cobra wandered into it's lawless streets. Seeking purpose, meaning, and a new beginning to replace the life he'd once lived beneath the banner of the Elemental Lord of fire. Yet what he found within the city flourishing within the mummified husk of the deserts greatest behemoths. Was not simply a fresh start to life, but the very forge that would melt him down to the foundations of his desires, and forge him into the embodiment of their fulfillment.
While nothing could erase the branding of his 'crimes', the gemstone hide of ebon onyx and gilded citrine scales that adorned his lower half. He instead chose to embrace them as his very identity. Black and gold to color his banners, the twisting cobra became his crest, and soon all who saw the serpentine merchant knew his name. If not by direct interaction, then the nature of his reputation.
To the free he was known well as a devout Hedonist, and one who near mathematically calculated risk and gain with every interaction. In business, he was a man through which coin flowed rather generously. Always willing to invest in future businesses and merchants that showed promise or potential. Though to attempt to take advantage of the red light prince, was to forfeit more then your life to his talons. From the loss of leisure given his iron monopolized grip on the pleasure district and companions guild. To the loss of home, property, assets, valuables, and even ones freedom.
To slaves however, he was both Sovereign and Shepard. A hand which offered itself with an upturned palm into the darkest hours of their lives. All they needed to do was take it, to be pulled from the mire of their misfortune and ill fated consequences and set upon the path of redemption. Through him, doors of opportunity were never locked or out of reach. Interest, curiosity, desire, these were the tools which built the path he laid out before them. Aiding them along in their progress with the benevolence of a father. While keeping their feet firm in their resolve with his high yet reachable expectations, and lack of tolerance for anything less then the finest of efforts.
With each soul that fell beneath his hand or collar, the cobra was risen higher as 'Dunhar', an artisan of the slave trade and a grand master of turning the untrained into the finest of collared servants. A title he wears with pride, honor, and unwavering dedication to his flock as he helps them become everything they ever desired to be.
Though the days of brothels and markets are long behind him, his life still belongs to the slaves. Even as Viceroy of Alyria, he remains the voice of those who have had theirs silenced, the guardian of those who have had their lives deemed 'unworthy' of saving. His authority is unquestioned, the loyalty given to him done so freely and without force, beloved by his subjects and the father of the modern Sanharen slave trade.
To embrace is ways, is to know true dominion over ones flock. To force subservience through fear, brutality, and torment. Is to breathe your last as those you thought you controlled, celebrate your death with bloodstained hands.
- General Roleplay As a roleplayer I am what I like to call 'Grade A Organic', meaning that I do not dictate anything, or meddle OOCly in my characters lives. What they do, they do of their own decision, and anything that develops in RP does so naturally or not at all. While I do play 'what ifs' oocly, never do I actually act on them or steer rp in a specific direction. If this interests you, then by all means approach and post at me whenever you see me in public and in an Rp area of a dream. I'm always available, and levinth will never turn down an opportunity for conversation or a chance to meet someone new.
- Business. Associates. Connections. The cobra may be a merchant no longer, but that does not mean that his ear and eyes are not open to potential new opportunities. As viceroy, the people he knows in turn affects how he can help and serve his people. Thus if someone approaches him with something of interest to him, he is not opposed to granting him his company... and potentially his investment.
- Levinth is a 'Dunhar', an artisan slave trainer bound to the traditions of slavery from his homeland. He is not abusive, he is not cruel, he will not torture, and he will not go against a slaves consent. He is authoritative without force, he seeks to earn loyalty and devotion through the slaves own free will, and seeks to bring out the full potential of every collared life. He holds no love or tolerance for those who oppress and devalue their property to inflate their own want for power. Do not be surprised if he becomes aggressive, or even intervenes if he is witness to the mistreatment of a slave.
- Levinth is a man of business first and foremost. Thus in public, expect him to put priority and his attention upon those who are wishing to speak with him, or actually use their voice to address him directly. He will not waste his time giving attention to those who seem to ignore his presence, or simply stare at him silently from across a room.
- When buying slaves Levinth is very picky, and firm in his expectations. Due to this, he never buys a slave immediately, but rather puts a long term rental contract on those who peak his interest. Only once he feels the bond between slave and pet is solid, does he finalize the transaction. Though be warned, should a slave after purchase show their behavior to have been an act - he will simply revoke his collar and send them back to where they came from without a second thought.
- Anytime you see me in public, I'm approachable. Feel free to whisper me, post at me, or address levi without having to ask me first. Consider this your permission to do so
- When posting to me keep in mind that he is a man of conversation, if he is not spoken to or directly addressed he will not pay attention to your character. Being vocal, and direct, is really the best way to get his attention. Specially if he's already talking to someone else.
- Group role-play is fun, and fantastic. Though I sometimes get caught up in the walls of text I end up having to respond to, so if I miss something directed at me I apologize in advance. Just simply poke me in whispers, let me know I missed you, and I'll have levinth get to you in my next post!
- I'm between countries every six months so my online times change between Central US, and Uk. Due to IRL and family also, there may be times when I have to pause or stop a roleplay without much notice. I apologize in advance if this upsets you, but I do always try to communicate to the best of my abilities and minimize disruptions. I will also let my RP partners know in advance if I'm going to be away from the PC for an extended period of time.
